Celebrity stylist Derek Khan, who is a popular name among Hollywood personalities, breathed his last on February 15 in a Dubai hospital. According to New York Times reported, Derek passed away due to complications of Covid-19. He was 63.
The American designer who hails from Arima, Trinidad, was currently in Dubai. After graduating, he moved to New York City to work.
The bait designer said he changed the fashion game in the mid-nineties with stylish advice. He encouraged rap stars to get rid of their typical streetwear and suggested they wear Fendi, Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana among others designer clothing, among others. He was the reason to make hip-hop stars in the mainstream fashion avatars with his extravagant fashion.
According to Khan, he has a lavish lifestyle and has attracted popular names such as Salt-N-Pepa, Pink, P Diddy, Monica and Lauryn Hill, among others.
The Hollywood entertainment industry, a popular name in the international fashion industry, mourned his death by going to social media. “Derek Khan was celebrated in the United States for the introduction of hip-fashion,” writes Sheikha Hend Faisal Al Qassimi as part of a long post on February 16. She calls him an ‘old friend’ and adds: ‘Derek may you rest in peace. ”
